“Vie del Mags” (acronym for “Mar Adriatico Gran Sasso”), is a network of permanent routes suitable for Bikepacking and Walking that connects our Adriatic Sea to Gran Sasso D’Italia. You will pass through ancient villages, uncontaminated plateaus and colorful hills, all that you can discover, including art, history and traditions in a single bike trip, all on your own. You’ll have 4 routes available: depending on kilometers and altitude difference you want to travel, you can choose the trip you like the most and start from checkpoints located in the area.

“Vie del Mags” path network is the maximum expression of the morphological peculiarities our territory can offer by riding a bike or simply afoot; Sea, Hill, Mountain, all enclosed in a single journey, to discover Abruzzo. This journey – we like to call it this way – is a starting point for new adventures and a goal achieved for the naturalistic territory of our region. The most authentic Abruzzo, as you have never seen it, awaits you.

VIE DEL MAGS: THE 9 DOCKS

The “Mags Points” are mainly mountain shelters and small village activities that will act as checkpoints during your journey. Each participant will have their “Le vie Del Mags” own Mags Passport, upon which the stamps of your passage will be affixed. These points won’t only act as a signpost for your travel cycle, but you’ll also have the opportunity to start your adventure right from the “checkpoint” itself, by scanning a simple QR code, and the map will be on your smartphone or GPS device.

YOUR MAGS PASSPORT

Your Mags Passport is an indelible memory of your bikepacking cycle-adventure. You can stamp each passage at the checkpoints on the route and note all the emotions you’ll experience on the “Vie Del Mags” network. It won’t be a simple travel book: by showing your Mags Passport at the affiliated facilities, you’ll have unique advantages to be able to better enjoy your trip around Abruzzo. A small tool that will eventually become your personal and indelible trace of your passage on The Ways of the Mags.

Once registered, by showing your Mags Passport upon your arrival at the facility, you’ll receive many benefits. You’ll find structures ready to support you in any way: E-bike recharging, tire inflation, technical assistance and discounts on requested services. You will be able to plan your route through an interactive map and detailed information sheets on facilities and many other points of interest that will lead you on your personal adventure in the magnificent land of Abruzzo.
